I
myself have fished the many rivers and lakes of Ireland
for close to 30 years, and have been tying flies for 25
of those years.
I
have a strong passion for our wild Brown Trout, and make
regular trips to the West of Ireland to places such as
Lough Corrib, Lough Mask and Lough Carra where great
hatches
of Duckfly, Mayfly and Olives can be found. Let
us not forget Northern Ireland and places like Lough
Erne and Lough Melvin (Co Fermanagh). It was in
locations such as these that many of the patterns for
our Irish Bumbles, Dabblers and Green Peters originated
and are still working very successfully today.
Even on the smaller inland lakes such as the one at Castlewellan owned by the Department of Culture Arts and
Leisure excellent sport can be had.
Here at Masterfly, we can also provide free advice and
help on places to fish, where and when to use certain
flies and the different methods used in Ireland on
various Loughs and rivers. We have numerous fishing
contacts for such things as boat hire and gillie
service. Please contact us by email and we will do our
best to assist you in any way we can.
CUSTOM DRESSING:-
We welcome requests from customers
both new and old for Custom Dressing. Just
send a good
quality master copy of the fly you wish copied, and a
clear written dressing detail and hook size etc. We
will then endeavour to quote you a competitive price for
the service. Please keep in mind that the minimum order
for custom patterns is one dozen items of that pattern.

Please
browse our products using the links on the
left or bottom of each page. We are
"walking" before we "run", therefore some
products have yet to be added to our
website. Please be patient while we do
this and check back soon to see how we are
progressing.
Enjoy your visit.
